Groovy Software by Dr. John H. Relethford

John has graciously made available some of his well-written (contra my [L.W. Konigsberg] hacked together stuff) and highly useful (contra my collection of esoterica) programs.

These programs run under Windows (95/98/2000/ME/XP). They are available for downloading here as ZIP files. You will need to "unzip" the folder and run the "setup.exe" file. Windows XP has "unzipping" built in; for other Windows systems you will need to use WinZip or a similar program. If you have any problems with installation or use, please contact John directly (see below)

rmet 5.0 - A program that finds the "R" matrix from quantitative traits, thus leading to estimates of F_st.

Mantel 3.1 - A program for comparison of two distance matrices.

micro 3.1 - This program simulates evolutionary forces. Modules include natural selection, genetic drift, and gene flow, as well as several modules that consider two forces at the same time (selection and drift, and drift and gene flow).
